William Penn at 25th is re-open

Palmer Police advise you to AVOID William Penn Highway at 25th Street until further notice due to malfunctioning Traffic lights.. This situation has caused significant traffic backups and other issues.

Suggested alternate route of travel would be Greenwood Avenue.

AVOID Main Street and VanBuren intersection due to an accident.

Police & Fire activity: AVOID Carolyn Street, wires down due to an accident. Carolyn Street CLOSED, between Greenwood and Old Nazareth Road. Additional: Stephens Street CLOSED between Jewel and Carolyn

Retail Theft – Giant Food Market on 6-1-2019

A Met-Ed utility pole was sheared off by a falling tree, in the area of Palmer Pool.

This has caused power outages to residents and to traffic lights along Rt 248.

Met-Ed is on scene and advise an extended timeframe for repairs.

VanBuren has been CLOSED at Corriere Road until further notice, due to Flooding conditions.

For the past two weeks we have noticed an increase of unlocked vehicles entered throughout Palmer Township, the best way to combat this criminal activity is to lock the doors to your vehicle. The person(s) entering the vehicles look and prey on easy targets, (i.e. open vehicles). Please call and report any and all suspicious people/activity to (610)759-2200.
