On Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at 1:06A.M., Slate Belt Regional Police Officers were dispatched to Pen Argyl Borough in reference to a "motor vehicle accident, hit and run,"  A physical description of the driver and offending vehicle was related to the responding Officers.  Upon arrival, a Slate Belt Regional Police Officer located the offending vehicle that was being driven by an adult female and occupied by a front seat (male) passenger, identified as H. ECKHART.  H. ECKHART and the driver displayed signs of impairment. 

During the accident investigation, it was discovered H. ECKHART was the original driver that struck the parked (unoccupied) vehicle.  It was determined H. ECKHART was under the influence and incapable of safety driving a motor vehicle.  H. ECKHART was taken into custody and transported to the Bethlehem DUI Center, where she consented to a legal blood draw.  H. ECKHART's B.A.C .24%.  Charges were filed.
