The BIP Association of Palmer Township has funded numerous projects in the township over the past 40 years. Are you aware of the Pedestrian Crossing Warning Signals recently installed at the bike path crossing Greenwood Avenue? Here is a safety reminder to our path walkers and riders when you come across this area.

1. Stop at the entrance of the roadway. If you’re on a bicycle, remember to dismount your bike.

2. Push the button to activate the warning lights.

3. Be sure the pedestrian crossing warning lights are activated.

4. After looking both directions to verify that oncoming traffic has stopped, cross safely to continue your travels.
