**FOR RELEASE**
On Tuesday September 23, 2025 at approximately 5:11 AM, Palmer Township Police were dispatched to Main Street / Rt 33 north exit ramp for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. The crash involved a Freightliner tractor trailer and a Nissan Pathfinder SUV.
The Nissan Pathfinder had (4) occupants inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. The driver and front seat passenger had to be extricated from the vehicle. The rear (2) passengers were able to get out without further assistance. The driver and passenger were transported to a local hospital for their traumatic injuries and listed in critical condition. The rear passengers were also transported to a local hospital for an evaluation.
The driver of the Freightliner was not injured. The Palmer-Forks Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Palmer Township Police Motor Carrier Enforcement are currently on scene investigating the crash. The crash caused significant backups for the morning commute.
