The Palmer Township Police are seeking the Public’s assistance in identifying these individuals.
Earlier this week, the Palmer Township Police Department started receiving multiple calls for Theft from Vehicle incidents and / or incidents of individual(s) attempting to enter vehicles. These incidents occurred during overnight hours.
Due to the proximity of these calls, and the times at which the incidents were reported to have occurred, it is believed all the incidents were related and committed by the same individual(s). Similar crimes also occurred in Wilson Borough.
In all, the Palmer Township Police Department received 16 incident reports for Thefts from inside of vehicles and additional reports for unsuccessful attempts to enter LOCKED vehicles.
Two additional incidents, a stolen bicycle and stolen vehicle were also reported and are believed to be related to this rash of Thefts.
In all cases the vehicles that were entered had no signs of forced entry indicating those vehicles had been left UNLOCKED.
On Wednesday, December 13, 2023, a Palmer Township Officer initiated a traffic stop of this related stolen vehicle. As a result, 5 unidentified occupants of this stolen vehicle fled from the vehicle and the scene.
These Investigations are ongoing.
We are very appreciative to all that have assisted in obtaining neighborhood RING and additional camera footage of these incidents.
*** We REMIND our residents to LOCK YOUR VEHICLES ***
