**ARRESTED**TONY LU**
On October 15, 2025 (Wednesday) at approximately 3:11 AM, a Palmer Township Officer was monitoring traffic at the intersection of S. 25th Street / Freemansburg Ave, when he observed a white Chevrolet work van pull in behind a restaurant to the used cooking oil container. The operator and passenger got out of the van for a brief moment, walked around and got back in the vehicle and started to drive away. The Officer conducted a vehicle stop on the Chevrolet van bearing a (PA) registration. The Officer observed oily substance consistent with used cooking oil on the rear bumper as he approached the vehicle.
The Officer make contact with the operator and passenger who were identified as Jue Huang Xie and Tony Lu. Further investigation by the Officer confirmed (1) 250 gallon intermediate bulk container(IBC) filled to capacity with used cooking oil, (1) 250 gallon bulk container (IBC) filled partially with used cooking oil, (1) Honda GX gasoline engine pump with green hoses, (1) battery powered Dewalt cut off wheel and (1) hacksaw with oil on the inside passenger compartment of the vehicle.
Both suspects were unable to provide any proper documents for the used cooking oil inside the vehicle and were taken into custody without incident. They were transported to the Palmer Township Police Department for processing and later arraigned by Magisterial District Justice Knisley and committed to the Northampton County Prison. Jue Huang Xie on $15,000.00 bail and Tony Lu on $25,000.00 bail.
