This evening at the Lower Saucon Township Council meeting three officers of the Police Department were promoted to the position of Corporal.

Officer Thomas Louder a Fulltime Officer with the department since October 2005 and one of the department firearms instructors.

Officer Chuck Werkheiser a Fulltime Officer with the department since August 2009 and the department defensive tactics instructor.

Officer Kyle Haggerty a Fulltime Officer with the department since February 2010 and also the department DARE instructor.

District Judge Alan Mege administered the Loyal Oath to each Officer and family members officially pinned their badges upon them.

Chief of Police Thomas Barndt congratulated the newly appointed members of the command staff. He told the Corporals he looks forward to working with each of them to move the department forward with a goal of providing the best police services to the township.
