Recovered Stolen Vehicle and Narcotics Arrest



Police were requested to assist Freemansburg Police with locating a vehicle that was taken from Freemansburg without consent. Police obtained information and eventually located the vehicle off on the shoulder of Bingen Rd in the area of Black River. When police approached the vehicle two male juveniles exited the vehicle and stated it was disabled.

As police were speaking to the male juveniles they detected an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Upon further investigation police located a large coffee can that contained a plastic bag containing suspected marijuana and additional plastic bags used for packaging marijuana, a digital scale inside the vehicle.

Both male juveniles were then taken into custody. The male who had been in the driver seat was also found to be in possession of another bag containing suspected marijuana, a switchblade knife and $547.74 in cash.

After speaking with Northampton County Juvenile Authorities one of the males was referred to juvenile on charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The other male was referred to juvenile on charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Prohibited Offensive Weapon and Receiving Stolen Property. Police also seized $547.74 from the male.  

Both juvenile males were later transported to and detained in the Northampton County Juvenile Detention Center.
