On August 21, 2025, at approximately 0700 hours, police responded to a hit-and-run crash in the 4000 block of Countryside Lane.

While responding, officers received additional information about the vehicle that fled the scene. A witness provided a photo of the vehicle and its registration, which led to the identification of the driver as Juan Carlos Villegas-Bustamante. Charges have been filed against Mr. Villegas-Bustamante for Accidents Involving Damage to an Attended Vehicle or Property and Driving at Safe Speed.

All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
