MAN ARRESTED AFTER SEARCH YIELDS DRUGS
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Northampton County District Attorney, Stephen G. Baratta, announces that the Lower Saucon Township Police Department and the Northampton County Drug Task Force arrested Robert Harry Thompson after a search warrant yielded various types of controlled substances.
On Friday, October 3, 2025, the Lower Saucon Township Police and the Northampton County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at Thompson’s residence in the 3800 block of Route 378. This search warrant stemmed from an investigation initiated in August 2024, following information provided by the Bethlehem City Police Department. The search warrant resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, GHB, ecstasy pills, LSD, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Thompson was subsequently arrested and is charged with four counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, six counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Thompson was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Alan Mege and was committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $500,000.00 cash bail.
As in every criminal case, the fact that an arrest has occurred or that a complaint has been filed is merely an accusation, and any person charged is presumed innocent.
All further inquiries should be directed to the Northampton County Office of the District Attorney.
