On August 30, 2025, at approximately 2235 hours, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle that failed to stop at the stop sign at Old Philadelphia Pike and Seidersville Road. The vehicle was also observed failing to maintain a single traffic lane while traveling west on Seidersville Road.

The operator was identified as Susan Kay Steinberg. During the stop, police detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from her breath. Ms. Steinberg failed field-coordination exercises and was taken into custody then transported to the Northampton County DUI Center for processing. BAC .13%.

Charges of DUI, Restriction on Alcoholic Beverages, Stop Signs and Yield Signs, Careless Driving, and Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic were filed.

All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
