On August 23, 2025, at approximately 6:41 pm, Forks Township Police responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 2500 block of Penns Ridge Boulevard. The reporting party stated that a white Nissan pickup truck struck his vehicle while parking. The driver, identified as Leon Dario Garcia Abad, refused to provide information to the other vehicle owner, appeared to be under the influence, and returned to his residence nearby.
Upon speaking with Garcia Abad, officers detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage, observed glossy eyes, and noted slurred speech. Garcia Abad was uncooperative, refusing to provide his information.
