On September 14, 2025, at approximately 3:29 am, Forks Township police officers responded to the 2300 block of Jamie Court for a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Daniel Edward Barbaro, who stated he assaulted a juvenile victim who he suspected was hiding drugs in the house. A witness on scene confirmed seeing Barbaro strangle the victim to the point that they could not breathe and stated that he was going to "kill" the victim. Video evidence was shown to police as well.

Officers contacted the Northampton County District Attorney's Office, which approved the charges of (1 count) Strangulation (F3), (1 count) Terroristic Threats (M1), (1 count) Simple Assault (M2), and (1 count) Harassment - Subject Other to Physical Contact (S). Barbaro was taken into custody and transported to Northampton County Prison for arraignment. Barbaro was arraigned by a judge, who set bail at 10% of $15,000 and Barbaro was later released the same day.
