Handle With Care is a way for Law Enforcement Officers to send a brief notice to a child's school when that child has been identified at the scene of a traumatic event. It gives the school a heads-up to treat the child gently - Handle With Care.

Examples of Traumatic Events Include

domestic violence, violent crime in the neighborhood, witnessing a violent event, a drug raid at the home, a loved one being arrested or overdosing.
