This week, the Bushkill Township Police Department hosted a specialized police e-Bike training course in partnership with BlueKnight Bicycle Training. Officers from Bushkill Township, South Whitehall Township, and Wilson Borough participated in the training. The Bushkill Township Police Department now has seven of its dedicated officers certified to patrol using police e-bike's. This addition supports the department's ongoing efforts to enhance community safety and expand access to areas not reachable by traditional patrol vehicles. 

With the addition of e-bikes, our officers can now effectively patrol trails, parks, and other remote or hard-to-reach areas, ensuring a visible, responsive police presence in the same outdoor spaces our community enjoys. 

The training focused on:

• Safe operation of e-bikes across various terrains
• Trail etiquette and public interaction
• Rapid response in remote or crowded areas
