This week, the Bushkill Township Police Department is proud to participate in the 29th Annual Operation Safe Stop initiative, taking place across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

In partnership with the Nazareth Area School District, Nazareth Area School District Police Department, and PennDOT, our officers will be actively promoting school bus safety and monitoring school bus stops throughout our community. The goal is to ensure that our children can travel to and from school safely.

Operation Safe Stop raises awareness about the importance of stopping for school buses and adhering to Pennsylvania’s school bus stopping laws. 

Let’s work together to keep our community’s children safe. Please remain alert, slow down in school zones, and always stop for school buses.
