On June 26, 2025, at approximately 3:30 pm, Bushkill Township police officers responded to a reported hit and run motor vehicle accident at the Albert Pond's Preserve.

According to the investigation, a female driver operating a brown or tan Chevrolet pick-up truck with a purple kayak in the bed of the truck reversed out of a parking spot and struck an occupied vehicle. The driver then fled the scene of the collision, last seen traveling towards State Park Road.
