On June 20, 2025, at approximately 8:10 am, a Bushkill Township police officer was patrolling in the 200 block of East Moorestown Road. During the patrol, the officer conducted a registration check on a vehicle using their mobile data terminal. The check revealed that the vehicle’s registration was suspended. A motor vehicle stop was initiated and through the course of the investigation, it was determined that the driver, Jeffrey Alan Woolson, was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. The officer also observed signs of impairment consistent with recent illegal drug use.

Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered, and a certified Drug Recognition Expert evaluated Woolson, ultimately determining that Woolson was impaired and incapable of safely operating a motor vehicle. An inventory search of the vehicle was conducted and a substance suspected to be a Schedule II controlled substance was discovered.

Woolson was transported to a local hospital, where a legally obtained blood sample was collected. Laboratory results received on July 23, 2025, confirmed the presence of methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance, in Woolson's system at the time of operation. As a result, Woolson was charged via criminal complaint with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Controlled Substance (Controlled Substance), Possession of a Controlled Substance, Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked, and Operation Following Suspension of Registration.

All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
