The BPD is located on State Route 191 in Bangor Borough, Northampton County.  The BPD operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  You may contact the BPD by calling the Northampton County Control Center at (610) 759-2200 for non emergencies.  For emergencies only dial 911.

The BPD is staffed by the Chief, 6 full time patrol officers and 2 part-time patrol officers.  Each officer is involved in all aspects of modern law enforcement including, but not limited to: crime deterrence, investigation of criminal activity, apprehension and prosecution of criminal offenders, investigation of motor vehicle accidents, and the enforcement of Pennsylvania’s criminal and traffic laws.

In addition to the basic law enforcement duties described above, some officers participate in specialized assignments such as the inter-departmental Special Response Team, K9 Unit, Motor Carrier Enforcement, Accident Reconstruction, and the Northampton County Drug Task Force.
