On Wednesday, May 26, 2021, Slate Belt Regional Police Officers were dispatched to 1035 Blue Valley Dr, in Plainfield Township in reference to "medical emergency call." Upon arrival, an Officer made contact with the driver, identified as George P. Waldron. While the Officer was speaking with G. Waldron, the Officer suspected possible drug use and discovered his driver's license was suspended. The Officer requested G. Waldron perform a series of Standard Field Sobriety Testing to determine impairment. G. Waldron demonstrated signs and symptoms of impairment, and was taken into custody. A search of G. Waldron yielded a small amount of marijuana. While conducting a search of the vehicle, Officers discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. A Forks Township Police Officer, who is a DRE (Drug Recognition Expert) conducted a Drug Influence Evaluation on G. Waldron. The DRE determined G. Waldron was under the influence of one or more Controlled Substances. Charges were filed.
