On Monday, September 20, 2021 at approx. 9:04PM, a Slate Belt Regional Police Officer initiated a traffic stop on a driver of a vehicle due to the vehicle's registration being suspended for insurance cancellation. The driver was identified as were the front seat passenger, and a (rear) male passenger, Christopher B. KRATZER. Throughout the course of the traffic stop, the Officer determined further criminal activity. The Officer obtained permission to search the vehicle. A vehicle search was conducted and Officer(s) located a hypodermic needle under the front passenger seat, also easily accessible to C. KRATZER. Officer(s) also located a used needle cap on the rear seat next to where C. KRATZER was seated. A search incident to arrest of C. KRATZER was completed and inside his (C. KRATZER) wallet was a folded piece of paper which upon opening contained Methamphetamine. Charges were filed.
