On Sunday, April 11, 2021, an Officer was on patrol and parked at Wind Gap Chevrolet. The Officer observed an operator of a vehicle pull into the southbound lane of E. Moorestown Rd from a nearby parking lot and began traveling north on the wrong side of the concrete divider in the wrong lane of travel. The operator then pulled into Wind Gap Chevrolet, and began speaking with the Officer. The Officer immediately detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the operator's breath, in addition to slurred speech and bloodshot/glassy eyes. The Officer identified the operator as Kenneth J. Ireland through his Pennsylvania Identification, and discovered his driver's license was expired. The Officer had K. Ireland perform standard field sobriety tests to determine impairment. The Officer observed multiple signs and symptoms of impairment, and he (K. Ireland) was taken into custody. K. Ireland was transported to the DUI Center, where he submitted a sample of his blood for chemical testing. Based on the blood results, charges were filed.
