On Friday, December 23, 2022, at approx. 7:17P.M., Slate Belt Regional Police Officers were dispatched to the area of the Slate Hotel and Pub, located at 509 E. Main St, in the Borough of Pen Argyl in reference to a "hit and run motor vehicle accident." Upon arrival, Slate Belt Regional Police Officers made contact with the victims, who related a female driving a vehicle pulled out in front of them and hit their vehicle. The female driver failed to stop and fled from the scene. The victims obtained the Pennsylvania registration from the "offending vehicle." Slate Belt Regional Police Officers responded to the address on the registration and located the female driver, identified as Shannon GRIGUS. S. GRIGUS displayed signs and symptoms of (alcohol) impairment. S. GRIGUS was taken into custody and transported to the Bethlehem DUI Center, where she voluntarily submitted to a legal blood test. S. GRIGUS'S B.A.C. was .28%. Charges were filed.
