On Thursday, March 18, 2021, Officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in Plainfield Township. Officers made contact with an operator of a vehicle involved in the accident. The operator was identified as Cole L. Campbell. Officers detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from his (Campbell's) person, and other factors he may be impaired. C. Campbell was taken into custody and transported to the station, where a Slate Belt Regional Officer, who is a certified DRE (Drug Recognition Expert) completed an evaluation on C. Campbell, and confirmed his impairment. C. Campbell was transported to St. Luke's Hospital-Anderson for a legal blood draw. C. Campbell consented to the legal blood draw. Based on the blood results, charges have been filed.
