On Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 4:24PM, a Slate Belt Regional Police Officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on an operator of a (black) motorcycle due to an obscured registration plate. As the Officer activated the emergency lights, the operator of the motorcycle fled at a high rate of speed on Glass St in Plainfield Township. The operator eluded the Officer. The Officer obtained surveillance footage from a business that depicted the operator and motorcycle.
On the following day, an Officer observed the motorcycle parked in a garage near Glass and Sanders Rd in Plainfield Township. Officers made contact with a male at the residence, who was identified as Anthony BENDER. A. BENDER was wearing pants and shoes that matched to the operator that fled from the Officer the previous day. It was also discovered A. BENDER has a black in color motorcycle. Throughout the investigation, the Officer learned A. BENDER has a suspended driver's license from a previous DUI charge. A registration/VIN check came back as "No record found," through PennDot. Charges were filed against A. BENDER.
