The Nazareth Borough Police Department is proud to announce that Investigative Supervisor Randall Pompei successfully graduated from the esteemed School of Police Staff and Command (SPSC) at the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety. This intensive 22-week program ran from March 3 to August 3, 2025, and represents a significant milestone in both Inv. Sup. Pompei’s career and the leadership history of our department.

Northwestern’s SPSC program is nationally and internationally recognized for its rigorous academic and practical curriculum, designed to develop upper-level law enforcement leadership. The coursework covers critical topics such as leadership, human resources, organizational behavior, employee relations, resource allocation, and applied statistics.

Inv. Sup. Pompei was a member of Class #611, which included 41 students from across the United States and abroad. Throughout the program, he was academically and professionally challenged through written examinations, research projects, presentations, and the completion of a comprehensive staff study paper.

Since its inception in 1983, the SPSC program has graduated over 21,000 law enforcement professionals, many of whom have gone on to hold high-ranking leadership roles throughout the country. Inv. Sup. Pompei’s graduation is a testament to both his personal commitment to professional development and the Nazareth Borough Police Department’s ongoing investment in cultivating forward-thinking, capable leaders.

In addition to his recent achievement at Northwestern, Inv. Sup. Pompei has completed a variety of advanced leadership and management courses through Penn State University. He is also a recipient of the prestigious Trilogy Award from FBI-LEEDA, having successfully completed the Supervisor, Command, and Executive Leadership Institutes.

Inv. Sup. Pompei has achieved numerous milestones throughout his career in the Nazareth Borough Police Department and across Northampton County. He currently leads the department’s Criminal Intelligence Division.
