Officers took a theft report from the Exxon located in the 3600blk of Rte#378 on August 2, 2020. It was reported that a male and female entered the store on July 31, 2020 at 2148hrs to redeem scratch-off lottery tickets through the lottery machine inside the store. A store employee had to open the machine due to an issue with the tickets/machine. Surveillance footage showed a male remove the keys from the machine and then leave the store after the employee forgot to remove them.
On August 1, 2020 at 0519hrs the same female and male (this time with a bandanna on his face) re-enter the Exxon. Surveillance shows the male unlock the lottery machine with the keys and he removed several packs of lottery tickets. The male then walks down a hallway to the area of the restrooms and signals the female who had a backpack with her to come over to him. The female then enters a restroom with the male. A short time later they both exit the restroom and leave the store. The value of the lottery tickets was $1800.00.
The female was identified as a customer who frequented the store in the past with the last name of "Pingyar". Through further investigation the female was identified as Jacquelyn Pingyar and the male was identified as her boyfriend, Jason Robert Rivera.
