TRAFFIC BLITZ on Rte#412 Corridor

Lower Saucon Police conducted a “Traffic Blitz” on the Rte#412 corridor in the township on Wednesday morning May 22nd from 0700 – 1200hrs after receiving complaints from residents of speeding vehicles and increased commercial vehicle traffic in the area.

A total of 43 traffic citations were issued during the 5 hour traffic blitz.

Police conducted 8 commercial vehicle inspections and issued 3 traffic citations consisting of; 1 No Commercial Driver License, 1 Expired Periodic Inspection, and 1 Empty/Unsecured Fire Extinguisher.

24 traffic citations were issued on Flint Hill Road consisting of; 22 Maximum Speed Limit Violations, 1 Seatbelt Violation, and 1 Expired Registration.

16 traffic citations were issued on Rte#412 consisting of; 10 Maximum Speed Violations, 2 Prohibited Text Based Communication, 1 Driving Under Suspension (DUI Related), 1 Expired Registration, 1 Expired Inspection, and 1 Fraudulent Display of Inspection Sticker.

In addition a driver was also taken into custody on outstanding warrants for Possession With Intent To Deliver Narcotics, DUI, and a Probation Violation from the Philadelphia Police Department. The male was committed to the Northampton County Prison after positive identification.
